Two ornaments received, and a UFO finished!

At last I have a UFO finished - and it more or less counts as a BAP for me too!!  I don't know when I started this, but there is a progress report on it dated July 2009, so it's been around for a LONG time.   I had a lot of the sky to do, and it was tedious to say the least, but now it is finished :)

 

Hallowe'en Ornie from Vickie

Here is the lovely Hallowe'en ornie that Vickie stitched for me - with lovely Hallowe'en fabric on the back - I love it Vickie, and the kids think it's appropriate!!

Christmas ornie from Sara

And this is a Christmas ornie that I received from Portugal - Sara, it's lovely, and this dreadful photo really doesn't do the metallic thread justice at all! 

Christmas ornie exchange

At last a Christmas ornament finish :) Mill Hill Christmas kit too! These are definitely my favourite stitching projects - this one was done for Sara on one of my Yahoo groups, and I heard that she received it, so I can post a picture!

Oakhaven Owls SAL

I have just re-joined the Oakhaven Designs group, and straightaway decided to do the Owls 2011 SAL - a bit late!  I started with October, and here he is!  (Also made a very small start on September!)

Summer holiday finishes and something autumnal

I've been very slow to post these - these are the three (!) pieces that I stitched on holiday this year (we did have a lot of rain!).  All three are Mill Hill kits.  One is for our Christmas tree, to remind us of Eerbeek, the other two will probably be used to make Christmas cards.

Also a needlecase that I stitched as part of an exchange - for the first time ever I actually adapted a couple of patterns - this is an amalgamation of a Textile Heritage needlecase kit and a Mill Hill kit!  I was quite happy with how it turned out :)

Bookmark/needles exchange

This is what I sent to Judith as part of the bookmark/needles exchange on ILCS Yahoo group. The needle minder was a little extra, and of course I had to get myself the 'V' one too! It had been on my wish-list for far too long :)

Christmas in July received from Mare

I received my Christmas in July from Mare - all the lovely items here in the photo!  Not only did I receive the lovely Christmas ornament and the Christmas threads shown - but also a Mill Hill kit (my favourites!), a card and, last but certainly not least, a lovely thread holder ring with two of Mare's pins.  She has worked a 'V' on it, which is just lovely!  Thank you so much Mare - thank goodness it finally made it through the postal services!

Bugle Boy

I just heard that my Christmas in July exchange has been received in Germany - I wasn't too sure about it to begin with, but in the end I really liked it.  In fact, my dh - who doesn't really like my stitching - actually suggested that I buy another one to do for our house :)  This is a Mill Hill ornament called Bugle Boy.

Sea Stars as of June

Here's Sea Stars - not too much progress, but getting there very slowly!

Final PIF (for now anway) received :)

I heard that Grace received her fob - the last of my PIFs, so I was happy to hear that it had arrived safely!  I finally worked out how to finish the tassel attachment - to be honest, at Stitch '11 at Olympia I told the designer that mine never looked 'right' and she gave me some tips, which actually worked :)

Strawberry Ice bookmark

I recently finished this bookmark - I got it at Olympia last month, and once I started stitching it I couldn't stop!  Luckily I got all four in the series, I didn't realise it at the time, but apparently these are going to be a limited release, so I shall be keeping this chart, as I know I can't easily replace it, so I'm afraid this chart isn't up for grabs :)

I got out Boo! by Lizzie Kate - this year I really AM going to get this one done - I think my mistake in other years has been to get it out three weeks before Hallowe'en, then put it away when Christmas stitching kicks in!

CSRR bookmark exchange

Here are the photos of the bookmarks in my recent CSRR bookmark exchange. The one on the left is the one that Elaine sent to me, and the one on the right is the one that I sent to Elaine - this swap was straightforward for once, and it has gone some way to restoring my faith in exchanges :) Thanks Elaine for being a great exchange partner :)

A PIF for Sarah and a PIF for Terri...

At last I have something to post - I finished the first two of the promised PIFs - the one on ivory is for Sarah, the one on black for Terri.  If you click on the picture you get an enlarged view.  I am about to start on the third, hope it won't be too long before it is posted.  These were really good fun to stitch, and I think I might have to do one for me too!

At least I don't have re-takes to worry about - I heard yesterday that I passed the last of my exams, and have now officially finished my course :)
